MARYSVILLE – Homeowners in Marysville may be eligible for money to repair homes and buildings that are visible from the city right-of-way through the Connie Patterson Home Improvement Reimbursement Grant that is available for owner-occupied single-family residential homes in the city. The grant provides 50/50 matching funds of up to $2,000 to eligible recipients for reimbursement costs after repairs or upgrades are completed.
Commercial buildings in the Historic District area with approved residential housing are also eligible for grants.
All projects must be visible from the City right-of-way, which includes repairing/replacing exterior doors, fascias, fences, porches, gutters, roofs, shutters, windows and other projects. Exterior painting may also be considered for grants.
The owners of the building(s) interested in receiving the grants are the people who must complete the applications. All necessary permits must be obtained and properties must be up to date on all utilities, property taxes and mortgage payments before a refund grant application will be considered.
Applications will be reviewed and approved by the city’s zoning department and landowners will also need to obtain approval from the Marysville Design Review Board to complete work on any proposed project. All necessary permits must be in place before work begins.
Completed applications (and any other documents requested) will be accepted at Marysville City Hall, 209 S. Main St., Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Applications for the Connie Patterson Home Improvement Reimbursement Grant Programs are available at City Hall or online by clicking here.
